CrateDigger is a desktop app for DJs that organizes and auto-tags your music library. It detects BPM, musical key, and genre so you can spend less time managing files and more time mixing.
Yes! The free plan includes BPM detection, key detection, duplicate finder, and 5 auto-tags per month. Upgrade to Pro for 500 auto-tags per month and premium features like Folder Watch and Batch Rename.
CrateDigger is available for macOS (Apple Silicon M1+) and Windows 10+. An Intel Mac version is not currently available.
CrateDigger works directly with your music files (MP3, FLAC, WAV, AIFF, etc.) by writing standard ID3/Vorbis tags. Any DJ software that reads those tags — including Rekordbox, Serato, and Traktor — will pick up the changes automatically.
Auto-Tag analyze your tracks by soundwaves and automatically fill in title, artist, album and other tags. It saves hours of manual tagging and helps you build smarter playlists. Free users get 5 auto-tags per month; Pro users get 500.
